I created Halogen because a salon that held my values – an eco-conscious, LGBTQIA+ safe space that supported our NEPA community – didn’t exist. I was born and raised in Hazleton, and I’ve made it my guiding light to stay here and carve out the little slice of heaven that so many of us have been seeking.

Ultra-customized extension services really scratch my itch for services that have lots of super fine details that many technicians simply don’t have patience for. I enjoy squashing myths that extensions are not conducive to healthy hair. My favorite moments behind the chair are when a client is stunned at how natural their extensions look and how much their natural hair has grown.

As a stylist with 14 years of experience, my goals for my clients are to encourage to embrace your truest self, and do all I can to help you achieve your goals. 

I could do anything creative and enjoy my job, but I so genuinely enjoy the unique relationships between stylist and client. I love watching someone find their confidence, celebrating milestones, empathizing with loss, and connecting people (I’ve gotten like 4 people apartments, introduced romantic partners, set someone up with a mason to do their concrete, the list is endless.)

When I’m not gushing over my staff and clients, I’m a serial hobbyist. I love knitting socks and sweaters, gardening (both indoor and outdoor), plant-based cooking, reading fiction, and smothering my dog Benny with about a hundred kisses a day.
