I’m a mini blue merle labradoodle who is as allergy-friendly as a pup can be. I was named for the Elton John song and my mom loves to sing her rendition of the chorus to me: “Buh-buh-buh-Benny and the pets.”

My mom’s the owner of Halogen and has been taking me to the salon since I was 8 weeks old. I’ve been the Director of Security for the last three years and I take my position very seriously.

Everyone says I act like a cat because I’m a cautious guy who’s got to warm up first— let me sniff you and just ignore me until you’re cleared for entry. If you immediately reach out and pat my head, I might get nervous and make some noise.

My favorite clients have learned that if you bring me a bribe (anything but lamb— I’m allergic) I’ll nuzzle you and maybe even give you smooch.

My mom tells me I’m her most high maintenance client because she gives me a full haircut, nail trim, bath and blow dry every 4 weeks. I have to look good if I’m representing the salon!

In my spare time, I love playing fetch more than anything in this world. I’m super smart and love training for all kinds of tricks and commands. One day I think I could be an agility star, but for now I’ll help my mom out at the salon — she needs me.
